Everyday Help at Home

What Elderly Home Care Covers

Elderly home care is practical, non-medical help with everyday life. A trained caregiver comes to the house for agreed hours and assists with the tasks that have become tiring or unsafe: getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, reaching the washroom, cooking and eating, remembering tablets, and walking from room to room without a fall. Nothing is taken over that your parent can still do alone.

It is the step between occasional family help and skilled nursing. There are no injections, drips or dressings in this service, and no clinical monitoring. What a caregiver brings instead is time, patience and a steady presence through the day, so meals are eaten, fluids are taken, the house stays safe and someone notices quickly when your parent is not themselves.

Services Include

Goal

The aim is an ordinary day, lived safely. Your parent wakes, washes, eats, prays, walks and rests at the hours they always have, with help only where help is needed. Small things are caught early, the house is kept free of hazards, and the family hears honestly how the day went rather than guessing from a distance.

When Does a Parent Need Elderly Home Care?

Usually when nothing is medically wrong, but ordinary days have become difficult. A mother who cannot stand long enough to bathe. A father who forgets lunch, or takes his tablets twice. A parent who has stopped walking because the last fall frightened them. A widow who has nobody to talk to from morning until evening. None of this needs a nurse. It needs someone reliable in the house for a few hours, every day, doing the things family would do if family were free.

What a Caregiver Does Each Visit

The caregiver greets your parent, asks how the night went and looks quickly for anything unsafe, such as a wet bathroom floor or a tablet still in yesterday’s box. Then the practical work: washing and dressing, breakfast or lunch cooked and eaten, tablets taken on time from the doctor’s prescription, a short walk, and time simply sitting and talking. Everything is written in a daily note for the family.

Making the House Safer Against Falls

Most injuries to older people at home begin with a small hazard. On the first visit we look at rugs that slide, dark corridors, slippery bathroom tiles, a bed that is too high and shelves that need stretching to reach. We suggest cheap fixes, usually a grab bar, a night light, a bath mat and a lower bed, and the caregiver stays within reach on stairs, in the bathroom and on night-time trips to the washroom.

Who It Suits

Situations Elderly Home Care Is Built For

A senior nurse assesses your parent first, then we agree which hours of the day genuinely need a caregiver present.

Unsteady on Their Feet

A parent who can walk, but should not walk the house alone any more.

Bathing Has Become Hard

Washing, dressing and grooming done unhurriedly, with modesty protected.

Meals and Tablets Missed

Someone to cook, sit through the meal and keep the prescription on schedule.

Long Hours Alone

Company for a parent who spends the whole working day by themselves.

After a Fall or Flu

Extra help for a few weeks while strength and confidence come back, then less.

Children Abroad or at Work

Dependable eyes in the house, and an honest daily update by phone or message.

Their Routine First

We do not arrive with a timetable. We learn your parent’s day first, from the hour they wake and the way they like their tea to prayer times, the chair they sit in and the walk they take before dark, then fit the help around it rather than around our shift.

How Care Is Planned

  1. Home assessment: a senior nurse visits, reviews health, medicines, mobility and memory, and walks through the house looking for hazards.
  2. Hours agreed: you choose the part of the day that needs cover, from three hours each morning to a live-in caregiver.
  3. Caregiver matched: chosen for temperament and language as much as skill, and introduced with a family member present.
  4. Routine written down: meals, tablets, walks and preferences recorded, so a relief caregiver follows the same day.
  5. Reviewed as things change: hours go up or down as your parent’s strength does.

What You Can Rely On

Dependable cover, because a relief caregiver is arranged before a day is missed. A written record of each visit, so you can read what your parent ate, took and did. And a single coordinator who already knows the household.

Home Care, Nursing Care or an Attendant?

Telling the four elderly services apart

Families often ring asking for elderly care and mean four different things. Elderly home care is a caregiver helping with daily living for agreed hours. Elderly nursing care is a qualified nurse doing clinical work: insulin, dressings, catheters, monitoring. An elderly patient attendant is continuous physical presence through a twelve-hour shift or overnight. Senior citizen care is company and errands for a parent who still manages alone.

If your parent needs treatment as well as help with the day, book elderly nursing care alongside this service. If they are unwell and should not be alone for a moment, an elderly patient attendant fits better. If they manage fine and are simply lonely, choose senior citizen care.

FAQs

Elderly Home Care FAQs

Questions families ask before booking daily help for a parent.

How many hours a day does a caregiver come?

Elderly home care is usually booked in blocks of hours rather than full shifts: three or four hours each morning, a split morning and evening visit, or a longer day. If your parent needs someone present through the night as well, that is day and night attendant cover, and it is arranged in twelve-hour shifts.
Neither, in this service. Elderly home care is provided by a trained caregiver, not a nurse, and one caregiver covers the hours you book. Where a parent needs clinical work as well, we add scheduled visits from a qualified nurse under elderly nursing care, so you pay nurse rates only for the nursing.
Very little. Your parent’s own soap, towels, clothes and food, the current prescription so tablet reminders match the doctor’s instructions, and any walking aid they use. If grab bars, a bath mat or a night light are needed, we will say so after the assessment. Nothing clinical is required for this service.
Often the same day, depending on which part of Lahore you are in and the hours you need. Call or WhatsApp us with your parent’s age, what help is needed and your area, and the coordinator will say honestly whether a caregiver is free today or tomorrow morning.
Yes, and for personal care we recommend it. Tell us your preference when you book and we will match a male or female caregiver where one is available in your area. Most families ask for a female caregiver for a mother and a male caregiver for a father.
Charges follow the hours booked and the level of help involved, so a few hours each morning costs less than a live-in arrangement. Elderly home care is priced below nursing care, because a caregiver is not a nurse. The coordinator gives you the figure before anyone starts.
You ring the coordinator rather than the caregiver. A relief caregiver is briefed from the written routine, including meal times, tablets and your parent’s preferences, so the day runs the same way. Regular cover returns as soon as your usual caregiver is back.
ICU-trained nurses are available, but through our home nursing service rather than this one. Elderly home care is deliberately non-clinical. If your parent is on oxygen, a tracheostomy or close monitoring, ask the coordinator about nursing care instead of a caregiver.
